To create a trauma informed community that provides and promotes an environment that draws on the strengths and talents of each individual person.
We
Trust in the unique talents and experiences of our therapeutic community, our supporters, and families.
Listen to the needs of the people we support.
Connect with the wider community and work in collaboration with organisations and local authorities to offer a service that is relevant to all that use our service.
Create an inclusive home where underrepresented and hidden populations can access free and/or low-cost support and counselling.
Offer a holistic approach that supports the whole family unit.
Support groups, social events, drop ins and dinner clubs will help to create a sense of connection and break down barriers that the more hidden populations encounter when seeking support.
Data shows that such populations tend to struggle to access mental health support (mind 2023).
Our aim is to identify and remove these barriers that prevent access with a view to reducing isolation and helping to support more resilient and connected communities.
